Meet the owners
My wife and I are "seniors" who traveled the world before finding our paradise on this five miles of secluded beach in rural Mexico. I was a Navy pilot and am a retired attorney from South Carolina. Currently, we divide our time between South Carolina, Florida, and Mexico. We love being immersed in nature and fully support the conservation of Mexico's abundant turtle population. We are adventure seekers and we love the stimulating environment which we have found in "old Mexico". We always feel safe in the State of Nayarit, Mexico and the people are especially friendly ... they are tolerate of and amused by our dreadfull lack of fluency in the Spanish language.
The culture in rural areas of Mexico has remained true to tradition. Many aspects of life are slow and akin to "yesterday". Often, farmers on horseback are contrasted with huge tractors that foreshadow the changes that are in progress. However, when the sun retreats at day's end, virtually all of the town's people come out to socialize with their neighbors on streetsides and town squares. "Mom & pop" stores sell vegetables and necessities from sidewalk displays. All in all, visitors can still experience the cultural warmth of Mexican when visiting this area of Riviera Nayarit.
Other unique benifts of a rental at Villa Reyes: (1) We have airconditioning in all rooms - not just bedrooms, and (2) We have a roof top "day bed" which is equiped with custom insect screens which will not block your panoramic ocean views!
